Acupuncture for elbow tendinitis

Overused forearm tendons turn everyday gripping into a sharp, nagging pain. Acupuncture targets the tendon and the muscles pulling on it.

Understanding it

Tennis elbow (lateral) and golfer's elbow (medial) are overuse injuries of the forearm tendons where they attach at the elbow. Despite the names, most cases come from work, lifting, or repetitive gripping — not sport.

The tendon becomes irritated and slow to heal because it has poor blood supply. Acupuncture is well suited here: it brings circulation to exactly the tissue that needs it.

What we see

Symptoms we treat

If any of these sound like your experience, acupuncture is worth a conversation. This isn't a diagnosis — your first visit is.

01
Elbow pain gripping
Sharp pain on the inner or outer elbow when grasping.
02
Weak grip
A handshake, jar lid, or kettle suddenly hurts.
03
Forearm ache
A tired, burning ache spreading down the forearm.
04
Tender bony point
Pinpoint tenderness right at the elbow knob.
05
Worse with use
Typing, lifting, and repetitive tasks aggravate it.
06
Lingering for months
Pain that hasn't resolved with rest alone.
How it helps

Why acupuncture works here

Three layers at once — local, segmental, and central — chosen for what your body is asking for.

Releases the source
Needling the irritated tendon and the tight forearm muscles pulling on it restores blood flow and kick-starts a stalled healing process.
Calms the nerve
Treatment eases the sharp pain so you can use the arm without constantly re-aggravating it.
Restores movement
We add load-management and strengthening guidance so the tendon rebuilds resilience.

03
Treatment
Gentle needling, often with cupping or electro-acupuncture. Most patients deeply relax.
